02 November 2017 – Day at Sea – Heading to Malaga

Since leaving Lisbon yesterday evening we had another time change and are now 5 hours ahead of you. We had very calm seas, and a partly cloudy day in the high 60s.  We were invited to the special Captain’s Lunch for returning HA cruisers, which was very nice.

We entered the Strait of Gibraltar at 5:30pm and saw the northern tip of Africa off the starboard side of the ship, but a little too hazy for a good picture, and the sun was setting.  But a picture in our memory banks!!  At 8:00pm we passed Tanger, Morocco off starboard and then at 8:30pm Gibraltar off port.  So we are now in the Mediterranean Sea with Mr. Squid!! 

We are looking forward to a great day tomorrow in Malaga, a city that we visited with our son, JB, about 17 years ago, when he was studying in Seville.
