Last morning on land for a while was spent at the Hampton Inn in Ft. Lauderdale.  After breakfast,we got good news form U.S. Canine that our 4-legged child, Callie, received high marks on her first 24 hours away from us.

A brief shuttle ride to the port, and we boarded the ship at noon.  These are our "digs" for 49 days!

So far we've unpacked, had lunch, and had the mandatory emergency muster drill at our lifeboat station.

Met some interesting people already and had a wonderful salad and sandwich for lunch (Food so far is great!!!) We have a "sail away party shortly, and a "Welcome Aboard" dinner of BBQ ribs, NY Strip Steak, and prime rib tonight.  Might even watch "Despicable Me 3".

So with that we hit the high seas and sign off for now.

  4. They do fit a lot into a little space on those cruise liners, don't they? Did you eat the BBQ ribs, steak, AND prime rib? Continue that through the cruise and you might have to request a bigger room!!! Looking forward to your adventures.
